Salvatore A. Ciaramitaro

Salvatore A. Ciaramitaro, Jr. (Sam), age 95, September 3, 2018; cherished husband of 69 years of Marie (nee Oxley); son of the late Salvatore and Stella; beloved father of Mary (Albert) Sullivan, Christine (Gerald) Elmore, Barbara (Mark Homrich), Joanne (David) Kalapinski, John (Lynn), Mark (Tara), Matthew (Julie Robertson), Therese (Julio) Iglesias; also survived by his brother Richard and sister Roseanne O’Keefe, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Frank, his infant son Salvatore and his grandson Dominic. Served his country in World War II in the South Pacific as a Staff Sergeant of the Army Air Force and on returning practiced law until his retirement from Evans & Luptak in 2015. Along with Marie, an active member of the parish of St. Clare of Montefalco for nearly 70 years. Visitation Friday, September 7th from 1-8pm with a Rosary and K of C service, 7pm, at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 16300 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Park. Funeral Saturday, September 8th; Instate 9:30am until the time of Mass, 10:00am, at St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church, 1401 Whittier, Grosse Pointe Park. Interment and military honors to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
