ANGELINE CIARAMITARO

Angeline Ciaramitaro lived at 3444 Audubon in Detroit MI.

She was the long time secretary at the Law Office of Attorney, Samuel Mazzola Sr. in the Cadillac Tower in downtown Detroit. When Samuel Mazzola passed in 1960, she continued as secretary for his son, Attorney, Joseph Mazzola. In that office, she taught Joe’s younger brother, Robert Mazzola, how to use a typewriter, and how to fly paper airplanes out the office windows on the 32nd floor (it would take about 15 minutes for them to land). She was a hard worker and would often take getaway weekends to Gratiot Inn with two widows: her sister, Mary Grace Mazzola and Stella Ciaramitaro, her brother Salvatore’s wife.

After her Father, Salvatore, Passed away, she spent her time taking care of her mother Rosalia. Angeline was always upbeat and liked to play cards. She loved everyone and was the main source of family communications. Angeline attended all the Original “Ciaramitaro” Picnics at Chandler Park in Detroit, MI. She always had her house on Audubon decorated nicely at Christmas time, and every year she would give the Mazzola Family a bag of pistachios from Germacks at the Eastern Market. Angeline never got married and did not have any children.

Angeline was a smoker and she developed lung disease later in life, eventually she had to be put on oxygen. As she got up in her years, she had to be put in a nursing home Where she would have family and friends come and visit her, and would love to play cards with them. She always had a positive attitude and was always upbeat until the day she passed.
